Misty's mom is dead by now, and her dad, Eremias Fogdale has retired. He mostly reads the newspaper all day long. He has not really showed any interest in a half alien granddaughter, but well, I don't blame him. At least, the little girl was named after Misty's dead mom, Tusha. Combined with a capital A from Alien, the next generation of this house is named Asha Fogdale.
Misty was commanded to bring Asha to the hospital for regular health checks. Commanded, yupp, of course it was a legit offer that a mom to a half-alien kid should appreciate, but not Misty. Being a mis coloured resident herself, she had way to many tests at the hospital, ever since birth. And they only examine her skin, they never asked about how she felt about it all.
The woman calling out Misty's name is secretary Marbelle (Sacroville Dipperwell) Lavendula, recently married to the new priest, and she is sister of Milton Moonster's wife, Yvonne.
There are currently no specialist working at the hospital, but two general doctors, Stewart Mahagoney and Countess Constance R. Pettonta (gray haired). Today it's the latter who's on duty. And - there is a rather fresh nurse on duty, Timara (Onioon) Malone (lilac uniform).
It looks like the nurse is quite upset with Misty's skin. Because all the 4 abducted women were mis-coloured in various shades, I think the other 3 must have stopped by already, but maybe that happened when Timara was not on duty.
Misty just want to get this all over with. Typical!
Asha was indeed fine, they did a few tests, but some must wait until she starts school, which is probably tomorrow. Doctor Constance Pettonta expects Misty to bring Asha in for new tests weekly. :no:
PS: Yes, the nurse is pretty Insane, you know, and btw, so is Misty.
Afterwards, Misty walked back to the Dump, but continued up the steep road to Upper Farmland. After they bot got abducted and were found on the Moon Mountain on the same night, Misty did grow a friendship with Emma Hydront. Emma is mis-coloured too, and after her parents died and her older sister married to a guy at Moon District, Emma tends the little Hydront farm all alone.
Misty never saw Emma wearing a necklace before, especially not a black silk ribbon with a brooch. When she asked, Emma turned away, and then she blamed the rain and ran inside the house... Emma is not as poor as Misty, but well, not much richer either.
Misty followed, and noticed Emma had removed the black ribbon. Through the windows Emma's garden can be seen, she grows quite a little, and she even keeps a chicken coop out there. She also has a fantastic view down to Town of Galucca.
Misty never understood how Emma didn't have any kid after the abduction. They had debated it every time Emma had visited Misty. This was the first time Misty visited Emma, but there really was no sign of kids anywhere.
If only Misty had not worked either! She didn't ask for this kid, it obviously was all about bad luck!
Late that night, Misty left Asha with her old dad at home, and walked up to Moon Mountain. The ancient stones had probably been there forever, and Misty never paid them attention whatsoever, but after Asha was born, Misty had walked up here several times.
She hated to admit it, but she wanted to find out more about the Alien. She could not remember a thing from the abduction. If the guy knew about Asha, shouldn't he return? Okay, he was sort of mis-coloured too, but maybe they could work it out, still? This night she found some stuff on the ground near the stones. Someone had been here not so long ago?
Those stones are just north of Moon District. This night, the wind brought sounds, and Misty followed them. It turned out the noise came from the funny chapel in the secret garden of Moon District. Misty had never walked down there, but she knew it belonged to the MSW. Could they help her tracing that Alien guy? Right now they sounded very busy though, shouting phrases in a language she did not understand, and there was the sound of a drum? And she saw coloured lights flickering inside one of those windows... what were they up to?
